Pokémon GO competitive events continue to grow

5 years after the launch of the game Pokémon GO hosts its first event in 2021. Player numbers continue to rise at every event.

The Pokémon GO competitive scene has been gaining popularity and momentum over the past year. Starting with the first competitive Pokémon GO event Regional Championships, held in Liverpool in 2021, the competitive circuit has continued to grow with each event. Players from all over the world have been participating in these championships, showcasing their skills and strategies in battles against other Pokémon trainers.

One of the standout features of the Pokémon GO competitive scene is its accessibility. Unlike other competitive gaming circuits, which can require expensive equipment and specialized training, Pokémon GO can be played on any smartphone or mobile device. This has allowed players of all skill levels to join in on the fun, and has helped to make the competitive scene more inclusive and diverse.

As the competitive circuit continues to grow, more players are expected to join in on the action. With each event, new strategies and tactics are being developed, and the competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Despite this, the community remains friendly and welcoming, making the Pokémon GO competitive scene a great place for both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike.

We Are Esports is proud to support The Pokémon GO community and GO’s growing competitive player base.
